Motion Blur Text
Start with a RGB image using a white background.
Create a new layer and then place some text on using the marquee
tool on the canvas. Fill the text with the colour of your choice.


Select the Marquee tool (M) and then right click on
the layer and select Free Transform from the pop-up menu. Hold down
control and drag the top right and top left anchor points to the
right to skew the image. Press Enter to complete the changes.


Create a duplicate of the layer by dragging the
layer to the new layer icon in the layer panel.


With the new layer selected, select Filter ->
Stylize and choose Wind. Set the values as shown below. You won't
see any change as the layer below is masking the filter.


Now select Filter -> Blur and choose Motion blur
with the settings shown below:


Hold down Control and move the motion blurred layer
to the left so that the blur is all to the left of the text.


Now select the layer below and click on the Layer
menu and choose Effects -> Drop Shadow. Set the shadow as below:


And relax. Your done:
